So, the writer of course in my opinion is a frequent user of public transport or he just wants to be heard. He didn't not even outline the steps he will take if he is the man in charge. The writer think he could handle the situation and pressure from those taxi and bus operators better?
Too bad he isn't given a chance to prove me wrong. People are trying to make a living there and of course when you are not one of those trying to make a living using a rented vehicle, you just couldn't bother with other people hard life. Yes, the rise might make your life hard but by not giving them a rise their life is hard as well. You don't give a dam* about them, they don't give a dam* about you as well.
Humans are only concern with things that are directly affecting them but a "p" is a "q" if you would just view it from the other side.
