BATMAN 'N' ME

Few minutes into the movie Batman 1 (1989), two scenes were playing in my head.

My dad and I were in the cinema choosing a movie to watch. He chose a good movie over the Batman (I want) of course and he saw my craving eyes or I did draw his attention to the Batman that was screening at the moment. We ended up watching Batman that time. I remembered he did not enjoy the movie but I was a small boy and little kid like me would not betray Batman.

Those were still the days when watching a movie to me is following the pictures from a scene to another. I must be too small to comprehend the conversation but I clearly do know the good guy have to be victorious. Each time Batman punches the antagonist character, I too swing my fist to help him deliver the extra momentum he needed.

When I watch The Lion King, I went up to the tv and smacked the antagonist character in the “face”. I know I am adorable. My mother tried to stop me though.

“Stupid boy, what are you doing? Come back here and sit down.”

One day my mum was doing her things until I went up to her and asked the most important Q.

“Mum, do you think Batman is the good guy or the evil ones?”
“Of course he is the bad guy; he is bad man and the word bad itself should have given you the idea.”

I did not take her words that time.

Time to time I recalled random things from my childhood and I lost myself in my attempt to search for the newer memories? It is a scene too different when I am a teen and somehow along the way, I just stop making happy memories with them.

I made a promise that night, a promise that I would make new memories with them because at the end of the day, memories is what you remembered and treasured.
