COBRAS AND CHOCS

It started with me dreaming about cobras in a jar and I don’t normally remember about my dreams. I being the genius in my dream try to kill them with formalin, trying to dilute the formaldehyde and the next second I woke up.
I looked into some dream interpretation about cobra and most write about sexual passions, creative energy, in some sort of danger or post-Adam-and-Eve effect like temptation and evil, anger, and envy. The one interpretation which I buy is about a person who is deceitful in my life and I have one in my flat. Life still goes on.
Later in the day, I went for shopping because I want to buy those grapes again. Well, I end up buying more than just that and as I go through the receipt back in my flat, I realize that the cashier didn’t charge me for the M&M chocs which is price at AUD 4 (clearance sales). I looked into my plastic bag and found that packet of M&M with other chocs side by side.
Did I go back to the shopping centre to pay for it? Nope. It is not because I try to get away with it but the cashier might just get into serious trouble for not doing her job well.
Maybe I was too handsome that she decided to “give” me that free. We won’t know right. :P
So, speaking from my experience as a cashier last time, none of us should really go back and pay for that item. The item is not in the receipt and therefore they “should” be still on the shelves. It is not in the receipt, it is not recorded in the system and the cashier wouldn’t need to pay for the item with his/her money at the end of the day because it is not recorded at the first place.
I did have a few customers coming back to pay for the item which is in their plastic but doesn’t appear in their receipt and those kind people usually bring along their small little receipt that states my name clearly as the cashier on duty.
Well, it happens around 3 times and only the company will be glad that the customer is so honest. I clearly didn’t did it on purpose and there might be more customer getting free stuff from me out there. Ha-ha.
Surprisingly, I never got any "lectures" from my superior because my supervisor is a super-nice person and I am a super-nice-and-hardworking-and-hard-to-find employee (of course those are cheap stuffs that cost you rm 2 or 3).
The morale of the story, don’t go back or you might just be doing bad things with a kind heart (get that cashier into troubles).
