A SMALL UPDATE

From time to time I would need to do some reading or else I would fall into deep depression.

I have been kind of helping around with the Uni orientation. People were kind to me last semester and so, I decided to repay the kindness in helping others.

My target - 1. folks who look lost, turning the Uni map around and around.
2. folks who walk alone and look lost.
3. folks who look friendly.
4. folks who just approached me for any help.
5. folks who look uncommon (they are not from Malaysia or Singapore).

It is fun approaching people and re-evaluating your success and failure from time to time. It is also fun as well talking to random people. The other day I was talking to a malay couple accompanying their daughter here. You can see that they are those modern malay. It is hard to find any malay not liking Malaysia but I think they are kind of neutral towards Malaysia.

Few days ago I was kind of frustrated, angry, furious *feel free to add in any words here* after receiving the news of my friend leaving UCSI's pharmacy course. Second person after me and second person to do that after semester 2. Seriously, if I were still in Malaysia, I would knock some sense in them.

I do find myself a little impatient to start the new semester speaking of which I have 27 hours per week. That is a seriously-a-lot of workloads. Looking from another perspective, I am glad that more workloads equal better value of my father's money.

The other day I saw quite a number of people (business students to be exact)are taking supplementary exam and you can really feel the "tenseness" in the air. I am so glad that I passed all my subjects.

I heard that the supplementary papers are not easy and at least two of my coursemates didn't manage to pass their biology supplementary paper.


It is about time that the Pakatan politicians stop gloating on their ‘unexpected’ success in the 2008 general elections.


Decided to add a few more things here.

Was reading and came across this method of taking down forest burning (the one where people did to make the land more fertile) is to burn part of the forest yourself so that when the fire reaches that intended spot, there will be no material for it to "propagate" the fire along. What a way to eliminate fuel element in the Fire Tetrahedron Model which consist of fuel, oxygen, heat and chemical reaction. I have always under the impression that they would chop down all the trees to control the spread of fire but have never thought of fighting "fire" with "fire".

It is amazing how some people have the ability to cast a glow that makes everything more beautiful, isn't it. When is the last time you saw such a person?
